Preschool for Children with Autism in Cedar Park

Your child shouldn't have to choose between getting the support they need and getting to go to preschool.

Adaptive Path Learning Collective is a preschool designed specifically for children with autism ages 2–6.

A Preschool: Not a Clinic Designed to Look Like One

Adaptive Path is a preschool designed specifically for children with autism ages 2–6.

We created Adaptive Path because we believed there had to be a better way to support young autistic children. One where children could receive individualized ABA, speech, and occupational therapy without spending their early childhood in a traditional therapy center.

Here, children are preschoolers first.

They have teachers and classmates. They play, explore, make art, read books, sing songs, move their bodies, spend time outside, navigate friendships, participate in classroom routines, and experience all the wonderfully ordinary parts of being a preschooler.

And when they need additional support to communicate, participate, regulate, learn, or become more independent, their clinical team is right there alongside them.

Early Education at Adaptive Path

Adaptive Path wasn't created by taking a traditional ABA center and adding classrooms.

We built a preschool.

Our classrooms are led by dedicated teachers who plan developmentally appropriate curriculum and learning experiences for their students. Children are part of a classroom community, learning alongside peers and participating in the natural rhythms of a preschool day.

Our BCBAs, RBTs, speech-language pathologists, and occupational therapy professionals work within that environment.

That distinction matters.

Therapy isn't the child's entire day with occasional opportunities for classroom activities. Instead, therapeutic support helps each child access, participate in, and grow within a genuine preschool experience.

Young children learn through play, movement, relationships, exploration, repetition, and experience.

And some of the most meaningful opportunities for growth happen in moments that could never be recreated quite the same way in a therapy room.

The Ordinary Magic of Preschool

We take clinical care seriously.

We also take childhood seriously.

Our students get to make messy art projects. Celebrate birthdays. Have favorite books. Learn classroom songs. Run around outside. Get excited when something unexpected happens. Develop relationships with their teachers. Notice when a friend is absent. Have preferred toys. Do classroom jobs. Explore the sensory gym. Be silly.

Those experiences aren't extras.

And they aren't breaks from therapy.

They're part of why we built Adaptive Path.

Children who need significant support deserve access to the same joy, connection, curiosity, belonging, and wonderfully ordinary experiences of childhood as anyone else.

Preparing for Whatever Comes Next

Our students won't all follow the same path when they graduate, and we don't expect them to.

For some children, the next step may be a general education classroom. Others may benefit from additional supports or a more specialized educational environment.

Our job isn't to prepare every child for one predetermined destination.

It's to help each child build the foundational skills that will serve them wherever they go next: communication, independence, participation, self-advocacy, relationships, flexibility, and confidence navigating a classroom community.

We want children to leave Adaptive Path more able to engage with their world, with a team and family who understand what helps them thrive.
